Gamlingay Village Primary is pleased to announce that from September it will be providing Preschool Provision, on-site, to ensure the village have enough places for children to attend a local setting before they begin school.

The Preschool will be in a purpose-built mobile classroom, at the front of the school which will be equipped to support the Hygge Approach, which promotes a natural and calm feeling. GVP will staff the provision with experienced members of staff, and it will be overseen by the school leadership team.
Initially, the provision will accommodate 24 pupils in each session, however this can rise to 60, if there becomes such demand within the village.
The provision will offer two sessions: 9am – 12pm and 12pm – 3pm. (Sessions which are in addition to the Government-funded sessions will be charged at £15).
If you would like your child to attend this setting from September, please contact the school office on; you will then need to complete a registration form and preferred days of the week form by Friday 7th July. The school will confirm your child’s place by July 14th.
Please be aware that, due to the installation of the building over the summer holidays and ensuring we get to know all children who will be starting with us, the setting will not open fully until Monday 25th September.
The timetable is shared below:
w/b 11th September: Home visits
w/b 18th September: Children visit setting with parents in small groups
w/b 25th September: Children start
We look forward to welcoming our first Preschool cohort .
