100 Laps Challenge Success!

11th June 2021

Yesterday, Inspired by the Captain Tom 100 Challenge, Gamlingay Village Primary challenged its pupils to complete 100 laps of the playground on Thursday 10th June to raise money to buy each year group a set of playground equipment that can be used at break and lunch times.

It also celebrated the new surfacing of the playground area and marked what would have been HRH Prince Phillip’s 100th birthday.

We are pleased to announce that despite the very warm conditions, the pupils and staff completed over 5300 laps in total – Mrs Desborough pledged to complete 100 laps throughout the day joining every class with their team effort and have so far raised over £1200 including a generous donation from Biggleswade Sandy Lions Club.

If you would like to make a donation via our just giving page we would be most grateful.
